In order to promote the spirit of scientists' love of science and stimulate students' interest in learning science, on the afternoon of 21st November, 2022, the eighth grade physics lesson preparation group of Anqing Foreign Language School’s west campus held an activity called ‘Approaching Scientists’ in the lecture hall on the first floor. At the beginning of the preparation for the activity, students from all classes of Grade 8 actively signed up for it. Later on, after careful selection by teachers of each class, the elite players of each class were selected to participate in the final grade group show. Additionally, after the activity began, the players took turns to show the great scientists in their minds, Galileo, Newton, Einstein, Schrodinger, Qian Xuesen...... scientists at home and abroad. Moreover, the contestants' performance was really wonderful, and the audience also sent thunderous applause from time to time! In the meantime, the judges graded each candidate in a fair and impartial manner. Therefore, this activity was very rewarding for the students present in that they felt the unknown spirit of learning and research quality of scientists, which also let the teachers see the other side of the students’ excellence. Overall, many thanks for all competitors’ painstaking preparation and thank the teachers for their meticulous training of the students!
